I have been looking for an emulator or virtual machine that can emulate BeOS 5 Pro properly. VirtualPC and VirtualBox both lock up on the boot process. VMWARE does not offer a correct driver for either video or network.

What makes BeOS for Intel so hard to emulate? (other than the fact that the OS is abandoned)

You may ask me why I want to do this. I think that BeOS was the best operating system ever written for open PCs. ( I don't count MacOS because it is only legaly allowed on Apple hardware and therefore is not open.)
